IFLR Project Manager
Léonie Côté studied Biology and Forest Sciences at Laval University. Her professional and academic experience allowed her to develop microbiological and molecular biology skills, as well as knowledge regarding forest ecology and forestry operations. Her interest for applied research pushed her to pursuit a Master’s degree in Forest Sciences, allowing her to gain knowledge in various fields related to degraded sites rehabilitation: community dynamics, green technologies and different methods of ecological restoration. She has been working with Viridis Terra International since 2017, collaborating on a research and development project regarding the ecological restoration of an iron ore mining site in Northern Quebec. She traveled several times to Northern Quebec and was able to become aware of the issues related to working in remote locations. Her marked interest for scientific communications encouraged her to participate in provincial and international conferences.
Léonie thrives on concrete actions and projects leading to positive ecological and social outcomes. She is ready to put her dynamism to the service of the environment.
